About us

Hello, my name is Dr Harold Bergman, DDS, Dipl.Oral Surgery & Anaesthesia, MScD(Pathology) I have been involved in dental implants since 1973, when stainless steel was the metal of choice for implants and placing dental implants was considered experimental. With the introduction of titanium, dental implants gained credibility. Since then, implant dentistry has been like the Wild West; anybody with a dental license could legally place implants. There’s a new sheriff in town who goes by the name of your Provincial or State Licensing Body. The Game Has Changed; the Wild West is undergoing civilization.

Using my surgical experience as an Oral Surgeon, I introduced the “extraction site”, the “cookie cutter” and other “limited exposure” surgical techniques designed to make implant surgery easier, quicker and less traumatic for the patient.

When titanium was introduced, I designed and manufactured the Anchor, Simpler, SIMPLI, and K9 for dog dental implant systems, as well as a number of generic, implant related items such as the Shadow Metal Locator, the Implant Drill Sharpener, and Paralleling guides.

For over 50 years, have trained thousands of dentists, veterinary dentists and denturists in the placement and restoration of implants; published over 100 scientific and technical publications and produced 29 online training courses, for dental and veterinary professionals.

It you are offering dental implant services, you must now prove your competency, provide a comprehensive medical history that can affect osseointegration. Informed consent from the patient needs to be flawless. Meticulous, detailed, and accurate documentation is a requirement.

Because of these recent changes introduced by the various Licensing Bodies, I developed PREP.

PREP is specifically designed to address the new requirements.

Our mission

I recognize that despite your expertise as a dedicated implant practitioner, the success of your dental implant treatment hinges significantly on a crucial, yet often complex factor: the patient’s systemic health and medication profile and how it affects dental implant success.

My mission has always been to provide a solution to help you achieve the highest possible success rates for your patients. My present mission is to provide a solution: PREP.

Implants are Complex; Documentation Shouldn't Be

Being a dentist involved in dental implants comes with significant pressure. You must now prove your competency to protect your reputation and license. A comprehensive medical history that can affect osseointegration is more critical than ever. Documentation needs to be flawless.

The worry these changes bring is real, but you don't have to carry it alone.

PREP offers efficient documentation services for dental implant practices. PREP eliminates the need for manual health history cross-referencing by centralizing critical medical information. This saves you valuable chair time and enhances accuracy, allowing you to focus on your patients and your practice without the constant worry.
